Of course, just about every Oregonian knew that the real location of  "Springfield" where the Simpson's lived was in Oregon - since its creator Matt Groening was from Oregon - but speculation still abounded nonetheless. Finally, Oregonians have been vindicated in this months Smithsonian magazine. But is this worth being prideful...?
